Forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, chin dimples, a down-turned mouth or bunny lines on the nose – all can be treated and prevented from becoming worse with Azzulure, perhaps better known by its US name of Botox®.
What is Azzulure?
Azzulure is a type of Botulinum Toxin A that can be injected beneath the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles that are associated with ageing due to facial muscle movements. Azzulure is fast becoming the treatment of choice for many patients that have previously had botox treatment. It is available in a wide range of clinics throughout the UK. Many people have tried Azzulure and found it to significantly reduce the signs of ageing.
Azzulure numbs the muscles beneath the skin, which not only smooths out the appearance of the skin, it also stops the muscles from moving and therefore the wrinkles from getting worse. Importantly, however, it does not affect your normal facial movement or expressions. It starts to become active within a couple of days of injection.
Is Azzulure Safe?
Azzulure is considered a safe treatment. However, there are some known risks to having any type of Botulinum Toxin A injections. Patients are advised to have treatment from a qualified doctor who is also fully informed of other medications you may be taking at the time of treatment. The product should be avoided if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
How Long will Effects Last?
Treatments can take 20-30 minutes to complete. Azzulure injections can show effects within twenty-four hours but usually takes up to two weeks for maximum effect. The treatment has the potential to last about three months initially but can last much longer in a regular patient.
What happens if we do not continue with the injections?
If you cannot repeat treatments it does not matter. You will have benefitted from the treatment while you were experiencing it and it will have delayed the ageing process for that time.
