Dental crowns are a great way to restore damaged and weak teeth, and new CEREC crowns make the process faster and more pleasant. We are so delighted to be offering this service from Richard Pollock who is an international speaker on CAD-CAM and digital dentistry
Dental Crowns in a Single Appointment
In the past, dental treatments such as crowns and veneers would often require two appointments. The first would be to prepare and shape the teeth, and to take impressions of them. The second appointment would be to fit the crowns after they’d been made in a dental lab – similar to how you might have an eye test one day and then wait for your glasses to be made.
CEREC crowns are different. With digital technology and a CEREC milling machine, we can make dental crowns the same day while you relax in the waiting room. Depending on the complexity of the crown, it usually takes around an hour.
Why choose CEREC crowns?
- Have dental crowns fitted in a single appointment
- You won’t need to bite into a block to create dental impressions – we use a 3D camera
- There’s no need for temporary crowns to be fitted while the final versions are made
- CEREC crowns are made from tooth-coloured porcelain. They look fantastic
CEREC can be used for more than crowns and veneers too – bridges, inlays and onlays can also be created using this technique.
