Martin was educated
at Bedford School and qualified as a dental surgeon
from Guys Hospital Medical School in December 1971.
After a Short Service Commission in the Royal Army
Dental Corps, during which time he saw active service
in Northern Ireland, he opened his dental surgery in
St Andrews Road in January 1977. After the move to
St Peters Street in 1984, Dr Ashley decided to concentrate
on the provision of high quality private dental care
and his own particular interests of endodontics (root
canal) and quality cosmetic dentistry.

Dr Patel was educated at Bedford School and then went on to qualify as a Dental Surgeon at the University of Leeds. Rhishi has been part of the community from a young age. He is an enthusiastic cricket player as part of the Bedford Cricket club and has been lucky enough to play alongside England international player Alastair Cook. Rhishi is always keen to be at the forefront of tomorrow's dentistry and is enthusiastic to utilise his fresh knowledge in educating and treating his patients. He has a passion for high quality dentistry and his particular interests are in the fields of cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry.
Dr Patel is currently completing the Diploma in Restorative and Cosmetic dentistry, recognized by the British Academy of Restorative dentistry (BARD).

Stephen qualified
as a dentist at Pretoria University in South Africa
in 1981. He became the first dentist to be accepted
as a specialist in Periodontics and Oral Medicine by
the College of Medicine of South Africa in 1989. He
has three degrees in dentistry and is registered as
specialist in Periodontics in the United Kingdom.
Stephen worked at two universities in South Africa
as Principal specialist, Chief specialist and Head
of the Department before he moved to the United Kingdom
in 1999 to join one of his colleagues as partner in
a dental practice.
His special field
of interest is all aspects of periodontal treatment,
including dental implants and cosmetic gum tissue surgery.
Dr Pretorius is married
to Adrie, a medical scientist, and has one son and
two daughters. He enjoys golf, travel and reading in
his leisure time.
